FA Cup Semi-Final
Chelsea v Man City
The FA Cup semi-finals take place this weekend and the pick of the fixtures sees Manchester City and Chelsea lock horns at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
Millwall and Wigan Athletic play in the other semi-final on Saturday, so the winner of Sunday's clash will become red-hot favourites to lift the trophy and both do come here in good spirits.
Chelsea made it through to the semi-final of the Europa League on Thursday evening and there tough couple of weeks have fixtures have seen them perform well under big pressure, whereas Man City come here on the back of a superb 2-1 win at Old Trafford against rivals Manchester United on Monday.
Rafael Benitez knows that the club he is in interim charge of have a superb record in the FA Cup as they have lifted the trophy four times since 2007, so he will be doing all he can to help the Stamford Bridge side win the tournament for the eighth time in their history.
Two key men - Eden Hazard and Juan Mata - were left on the bench in the Europa League match on Thursday, which means it is likely they will both feature in the starting eleven this weekend.
Their quality in the final third and eye for goal is going to be vital to Chelsea's hopes of winning this one.
As for Manchester City, they took the famous walk up the Wembley steps in 2011 and with this being the only trophy they have a realistic chance of winning, Roberto Mancini will be desperate to make the final.
His side have played Chelsea twice in the league this campaign and taken four points off them, so they know what it takes to beat their opponents and as mentioned, confidence is going to be high after their win on Monday evening.
Sergio Aguero was the match-winner at Old Trafford and Carlos Tevez has got himself five goals in this tournament so far this campaign, so they could start alongside each other on Sunday afternoon. The Argentinean duo have a good understanding together and can cause a lot of problems for the Chelsea back four.
The Citizens have won the FA Cup five times in their history, but just once since 1969.
This should be a superb match between two of the richest clubs in the world, but in the end, City's fresh legs and quality in front of goal will show and they will take this game 3-1.
